Sub-drill is proud to announce its continued investment in the local community through the sponsorship of essential sports kit and charity events for primary schools in the Westhill area.
This latest initiative builds on Sub-drill's ongoing commitment to local youth sports. At the start of 2025, the company provided the local netball team with a brand-new kit. Sub-drill followed this up in December 2025 by providing vital funding to cover facility let costs for the 2025/2026 season, ensuring the netball team had suitable facilities to train every Tuesday evening.
Westhill Primary Strikes Gold in Sub-Drill Kit
Building on that momentum, Sub-drill recently supplied 70 brand-new, multi-sport bibs to Westhill Primary School. Designed for children of all age groups, these bibs give students a unified school identity to wear with pride at regional sporting events.
The new kit made its official debut today at a mock Commonwealth Games event held at Westhill Academy. The tournament brought local primary schools together to compete. The vibrant new gear proved to be an immediate lucky charm. "The new bibs look fantastic and brought us good luck," said Leza from Westhill Primary School. "We won the gold and silver medal, so we're off to the finals in Inverurie!" Thanks to their top-tier finish, the two winning teams from Westhill Primary will now advance to a wider-reaching, Commonwealth Games-orientated event in Inverurie and Glasgow later this summer.

A Commitment to Local Youth Sport
Reflecting on the company’s community initiatives, Mark Paton, Managing Director of Sub-drill, commented: "At Sub-drill, we firmly believe that investing in our local youth is one of the most meaningful ways we can support the Westhill community. Sports play an invaluable role in a child's development, teaching vital life skills like teamwork, discipline, and resilience, while promoting a healthy lifestyle. Whether it is ensuring the netball team has a safe, warm facility to train in during the winter months, or providing Westhill Primary with a kit they can wear with pride, our goal is to eliminate barriers to participation. Seeing the immediate impact of these sponsorships and celebrating Westhill Primary's fantastic gold and silver success, makes us incredibly proud. We look forward to watching them compete in Inverurie and Glasgow and will continue to support the next generation of local talent."
Community Spirit at Elrick Primary Golf Day
In addition to supporting track, field, and netball, Sub-drill stepped up as the main sponsor for Elrick Primary School’s Family Texas Scramble Golf Fundraising Day. The charity event took place on Sunday 26 April 2026 at the Westhill Golf Club. The sponsorship helped raise vital funds for the school while bringing local families together for a day of friendly competition on the course.
Sub-drill remains committed to fostering team spirit, healthy competition, and local school pride across the region.
